It is now the 21st of February and as you can see it has been snowing again, not much and it is pretty slushy but it is also very good for slipping on. So far I have managed to stay upright!!!!
Training has gone well through February, no blisters so far and I am using the same training programme that I used last year.
At the moment I am walking between nine and eleven miles a day for four days in a row and then having a rest day. By the beginning of March I hope to start doing five days and then a rest day. I am also going to the gym twice a week and doing an aqua class which I really enjoy - no Richard I am not overtraining!!!
The route is now largely sorted out, at least it is for the first three days of the walk. I thought I had the second half of the walk sorted as well but I may have to make some changes there and am going over to Yorkshire for a team talk with my DBB early in March to finalise this.
The sponsorship forms are now ready and I will be setting the ball rolling in about two weeks time when it will be exactly 7 weeks until I start the walk. Keep watching.
